Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Adelaide Oval has enjoyed a proud history as one of Australia's premier sporting and entertainment venues for more than 140 years. In late 2009, the State Government embarked on a plan to bring cricket and football together at a newly developed Adelaide Oval — delivering an internationally renowned, world-class venue for the 21st Century. The $535 million redevelopment delivered a world-class sporting stadium with a seating capacity of 53,500.
The redeveloped oval sits proudly within a revitalised riverbank and the park lands precinct; home to cricket, football and providing an exceptional venue for a host of other major sporting events and entertainment.
Portolesi Structural were initially contracted by Lend Lease to undertake concrete caulking works and structural grouting to plaits and other precast structures. Before also being commissioned to skim coat columns and other in situ concrete areas in order to ensure the aesthetics met with design needs and respective Class 1 requirements.
